Superkomma and Yelim, a total interior design company, studied the role of "doors" as a medium connecting spaces.
They wanted to improve the relationship between people and spaces, and between people, beyond the simple function of hardware that opens and closes, and proposed three directions (concept design that considers the relationship with users / modular door system design / organic pattern door design).
Yelim is now expanding beyond function and interior design to various lifestyles and expanding from the concept of space (Space) to the story inside the door (Place).

예림임업과 슈퍼콤마는 문을 단순한 개폐의 도구가 아닌, 공간과 공간을 잇고 관계를 확장하는 중요한 매개체로 재정의 했습니다. 우리는 하드웨어로서의 기능을 넘어 사람과 공간, 그리고 사람과 사람 사이의 소통을 이끄는 문(Door)의 본질에 집중했습니다. 이를 위해 사용자와의 관계성을 고려한 콘셉트 디자인, 모듈형 시스템, 유기적 패턴의 세 가지 디자인 방향성을 제시했습니다. 이제 예림은 기능과 인테리어의 범주를 넘어 라이프스타일의 영역으로 나아갑니다. 물리적 '공간(Space)'을 넘어, 문 안의 고유한 이야기가 담긴 '장소(Place)'로의 확장을 시작합니다.

Acrylic Door

In houses with low ceilings. a tightly closed door can feel like it cuts off communications.

Through the translucent acrylic on the top of the door, we pursued the feeling of interior lighting seen from the living room while sharing the situation inside the space.

천장고가 낮은 주거 환경에서 완전히 닫힌 문은 시각적, 심리적 단절감을 줄 수 있습니다. 이를 해소하기 위해 문 상단에 반투명 아크릴 소재를 적용했습니다. 이를 통해 내부 조명을 은은하게 투과시켜 심미적인 효과를 줌과 동시에, 공간 내부의 인기척을 자연스럽게 공유하며 닫혀 있으면서도 소통 가능한 열린 구조를 구현했습니다.

Modular door system design / Replacement system

A soft feeling is created by applying rounding to a thin door frame. Users can create different moods through simple module replacement maintenance.

공간의 경계를 부드럽게 만드는 얇은 곡선의 문틀 디자인을 적용했습니다. 또한 시공 편의성을 극대화한 설계로 설치가 간편하며, 손쉬운 모듈 교체만으로도 인테리어 무드를 자유롭게 변화시킬 수 있어 유지 관리와 스타일링 측면에서 모두 효율적입니다.

A different mood was created with one connector without changing the shape of the door.

The door frame connector was proposed with a round metal shape to create an oriental mood.

도어의 전체적인 형태(Form)를 변형하지 않고, 커넥터라는 디테일 요소 하나만으로 공간의 무드를 새롭게 정의했습니다. 도어 프레임에 적용된 둥근 금속 형태의 커넥터는 절제된 조형미를 보여주며, 공간 전체에 고즈넉하고 깊이 있는 동양적 미감을 부여합니다.
